Sensitization: Center for Counter Fraud Awareness (CCFA), Visits Junior Secondary School, Apo Resettlement, Abuja to Sensitize Students on Corruption, Human Trafficking, e.t.c.

As part of our objectives on promoting awareness on fraud and other related matters, the Center
for Counter Fraud Awareness (CCFA) on Wednesday 30th January 2019 visited Junior Secondary School, Apo Resettlement, Abuja to sensitize students on Corruption, Human Trafficking, Drug Abuse and other related matters.
The program which started at about 10:30 am had in attendance the representative of the school principal, Mrs Onuoha Judith Oluchi and the Advocacy Team of CCFA headed by Miss Kare
Ayah.

The presentation which was divided into two parts, started with an introduction of CCFA as a
non-profit organization to the students, a short drama titled: Speak Out. The drama aim at
enlightening students on the consequences of keeping bad company and abusing drugs. The
second part is a lecture on corruption, drug abuse, human trafficking, cyber-crime and other
related matters and its consequences. The students were made to understand crime, its types
and categories; punishment meted out on criminals, law enforcement agencies, and effects of
criminal acts on them as individuals and the society.
The interactive session brought to their attention that heinous acts of cultism, examination
malpractice, vandalism, online dating fraud, burglary, drug abuse/trafficking, rape, and others,
are illegal. Engaging in these acts have grievous consequences like the destruction of families,
serving of jail terms or even death.
At the end of the session at 11.10am, questions were asked by students and teachers. It ended
with a photo and interview session.
