Climate Finance Accountability (CFA) is a CeFTPI initiative focused on strengthening transparency, integrity, and accountability in the mobilisation, allocation, disbursement, and utilisation of climate finance in Nigeria. The initiative will track climate finance flows, assess the governance and integrity of climate-related investments, and examine whether funds are reaching their intended projects and beneficiaries.
Through research, financial and project tracking, stakeholder engagement, and evidence-based advocacy, CFA will promote greater public visibility and accountability in climate finance. Its flagship output will be an annual Climate Finance Accountability Report that provides an independent assessment of Nigeria’s climate finance landscape, emerging risks, accountability gaps, and areas for reform.
