Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Jigawa State Command, has arrested a 65-year-old man for allegedly impregnating an 11-year-old girl after allegedly raping her on five different occasions.
Disclosing the situation in Dutse, Jiagawa State Capital, on Sunday, March 3, 2019, The corps spokesman, SC Adamu Shehu said the suspect, Adamu Abdullahi alias Nagida of Jarmai quarters of Gawo village in Babura Local Government Area (LGA) of Jigawa State, was arrested while committing the crime by the personnel of the corps last Saturday at around 11:00am while election was going on.
Shehu lamented that the suspect had carnal knowledge of his victim after inviting her to his house on five different occasions, noting that the victim told the personnel of the corps that Abdullahi threatened to kill her should she exposed the illicit affair.
During Interrogation the victim told the operatives that she kept going back because he gives her more money and also threatened her not to tell anybody. The girl, a street hawker, who sells onions on the street said the victim slept with her five times.
in the course of the investigation, the operatives took the girl to Medical tests at Babura General hospital, where the result shows that the girl is pregnant.

Rape is one of the most traumatizing forms of violence against children. The majority of rape cases go unreported mainly because parents want to protect their children from potential stigmatization and embarrassment.
