The Center for Fiscal Transparency and Public Integrity successfully concluded its event on “An Assessment of the Artificial Intelligence Governance Framework in Nigeria” yesterday, 16th April 2026.
The event convened key voices across policy, technology, civil society, and public sector to critically examine Nigeria’s AI regulatory landscape, identify persistent governance gaps, and advance actionable pathways for reform.
Central to the discussions was the urgent need for a transparent and inclusive AI governance framework, one that safeguards public integrity, protects citizens from security risks, and positions artificial intelligence as a credible driver of sustainable and inclusive development in Nigeria.
As AI continues to reshape public institutions and everyday life, CeFTPI reaffirms its commitment to ensuring that accountability, transparency, and the public interest remain at the core of Nigeria’s digital future.
