CeFTPI participates in the Nigerian National Debt Roundtable convened by ANEEJ

The Center for Fiscal Transparency and Public Integrity (CeFTPI) participated in the Nigerian National Debt Roundtable convened by the Africa Network for Environment and Economic Justice (ANEEJ) in collaboration with the African Forum and Network on Debt and Development (AFRODAD) on Thursday, 18 June.

The dialogue, themed “From Fragmentation to Influence: Advancing the Common African Position on Debt,” provided a platform for stakeholders to articulate Nigeria’s priorities, perspectives, and policy recommendations ahead of the 6th African Conference on Debt and Development, scheduled to hold in August 2026 in Nairobi.

Discussions focused on sustainable debt management, fiscal responsibility, and strengthening accountability in public borrowing. The Center’s participation aligns with our Public Debt Integrity Project, which promotes greater oversight and accountability in public debt management.
