The Nigeria police in Anambra State have arrested a suspected cultist, one Chikaodili Nwanba, with a gun while others reportedly fled at the funeral ceremony of a suspected cultist.
The incident happened on Tuesday in Umuota Obosi, Idemili North Local Government Area, during an operation by the command’s Special Anti-Cultism Squad (SPACS).
It was gathered that SPACS carried out the operation after receiving an intelligence report that the Black Axe cult group in Umuota were about to perform the burial rites of their dead member, Christian Kenechukwu Onugha aka Kembeliwa, who was killed during a bloody clash with a rival group in December, 2018. Confirming the incident, SPACS Commander, CSP Christopher Bassey, warned parents to always find out the kind of company their children kept to help curtail criminal activities.
