AMMUNITION: Police in Oyo Parade 30 Suspects, Recover Ammunition

The police in Oyo State, yesterday, paraded 30 suspects in connection with various offences ranging from armed robbery, unlawful possession of firearms and ammunition to cultism and kidnapping. The Commissioner of Police in the state, Shina Olukolu, who paraded them at the police headquaters, Eleyele, Ibadan, said the achievements of the police in the state were as a result of the support from community leaders.

CP Olukolu said, “16 out of the suspects were arrested for armed robbery in Idi-Aro, Ojoo, and Igbo-Ora/Eruwa, while 13 were arrested for cultism from various higher institutions in the state, while another suspect was arrested for unlawful possession of firearms and ammunition. The commissioner said the donation of two patrol vehicles, 60 bullet-proof vests, and 40 helmets by the state governor would aide smooth operations of the command’s activities.
