Today, 12th March 2026, the Center for Fiscal Transparency and Public Integrity (CeFTPI) joined policymakers, economic experts, and civil society organizations representatives at a Stakeholder Dialogue hosted by Agora Policy, focused on “Sustaining and Deepening Economic Reforms in Nigeria.” The conversation explored strategies to strengthen transparency, fiscal accountability, and long-term economic stability.
Discussions highlighted that lasting reforms require consistent policies and strong institutional frameworks, ensuring progress continues beyond political cycles. Experts emphasized that public trust is essential, and reforms must be implemented with clear reporting, robust oversight, and governance structures. Participants also examined strategies to support macroeconomic stability, stimulate private sector growth, and manage public resources sustainably, noting that collaboration between government, civil society organizations, and the private sector is critical to achieving these goals.
At the dialogue, CeFTPI observed the discussions, connected with key stakeholders, and reinforced its commitment to promoting transparency and accountability in Nigeria’s economic and fiscal policies.
The dialogue reaffirmed that sustainable economic reforms depend on strong governance, public trust, and fiscal responsibility. CeFTPI remains committed to supporting initiatives that advance these principles and strengthen Nigeria’s path toward inclusive and lasting economic development.
