The Center attends a High-Level Seminar to Commemorate the International Anti-Corruption Day 2025

In observance of International Anti-Corruption Day 2025, the Inter-Agency Task Team (IATT), in collaboration with the European Union, Rule of Law and Anti-Corruption Programme (RoLAC), United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), MacArthur Foundation, and the Centre for Democracy and Development convened a high-level seminar in Abuja, bringing together key government officials, civil society organizations and media to deliberate on strategies for combating corruption and enhancing governance transparency.

A highlight was the panel session “Beyond Compliance: Sustaining Nigeria’s Financial Action Task Force (FATF) Compliance Through the Implementation of the National Anti-Corruption Strategy (NACS).” The Executive Director of the Center for Fiscal Transparency and Public Integrity served as a panelist, emphasizing the critical role of monitoring and data transparency in implementing the National Anti-Corruption Strategy and sustaining Nigeria’s compliance with FATF standards.

The event reinforced government agencies, civil society organizations and media’s commitment to advancing the anti-corruption agenda through coordinated action and building resilient systems for good governance and sustainable development in Nigeria.
